MEP Project Engineer | Muscat, Oman Full Time

Client / Employer Type: One of our MEP contracting client.

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in mechanical, electrical, or building-services engineering. MEP coordination training will be preferred.

Years of Experience: 4 to 8 years of MEP project execution, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, or building-services coordination experience.

Salary Range: Minimum salary: OMR 700 per month. Maximum salary: OMR 1,100 per month, with accommodation or travel benefits as per employer policy.

Detailed Job Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the core activities connected with the mep project engineer position. The work requires a balance of technical ability, documentation discipline, communication, and follow-through. Key responsibilities will include:

• Coordinate MEP installation activities, review shop drawings, track material approvals, and support daily site planning.
• Work with civil teams, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to prevent clashes and ensure that installations match approved drawings.
• Monitor testing, commissioning, inspection preparation, variation support, and handover documentation for MEP systems.
• Prepare progress updates, resolve site constraints, and escalate technical issues before they affect the project schedule.

The position also requires regular coordination with managers, colleagues, vendors, customers, patients, site teams, or support functions depending on the nature of the assignment. The candidate will be expected to maintain records accurately, respond to issues in a timely manner, and escalate concerns before they create delays, service failures, safety concerns, or client dissatisfaction.
