Minimum Education: Diploma or degree in civil engineering technology, civil engineering, or a related field. Eligibility for technologist certification will be preferred.

Years of Experience: 2 to 6 years of civil design, construction inspection, site measurement, municipal infrastructure, or land-development support experience.

Salary Range: Minimum salary: CAD 68,000 per year. Maximum salary: CAD 88,000 per year, depending on design and field exposure.

Detailed Job Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the core activities connected with the civil engineering technologist position. The work requires a balance of technical ability, documentation discipline, communication, and follow-through. Key responsibilities will include:

• Assist with civil design drawings, quantity estimates, site inspections, field notes, and coordination with engineers and contractors.
• Support road, drainage, grading, utilities, and land-development documentation according to project standards.
• Prepare inspection reports, track deficiencies, review contractor submissions, and maintain project records.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D, Excel, and field data to support practical engineering decisions and reporting.

The position also requires regular coordination with managers, colleagues, vendors, customers, patients, site teams, or support functions depending on the nature of the assignment. The candidate will be expected to maintain records accurately, respond to issues in a timely manner, and escalate concerns before they create delays, service failures, safety concerns, or client dissatisfaction.
